About Milly Teggle

Picture
Using my real name- Petra Brown, I've been illustrating children's books for 14 years. My usual work is quite realistic and very line orientated. But there's always been a part of me that has longed to work in a very different way. Heavily influenced by Jiří Trnka and J P Miller, I developed a style that concentrated on textures with simple, stylised characters... and so Milly Teggle was born.
As Milly I work exclusively on the computer, using textures that mimic brush work, stencils and collage.
